The Leeds City Region is the UK’s largest economy and population centre outside London, generating 4% of national economic output and employing 1.3 million people.
Business leaders from Leeds City Region will discuss how collaboration between towns and cities as well as businesses and universities, is the key to unlocking value and driving economic growth.
Accompanied by a panel of representatives from Leeds City Region LEP Board, Leeds City Council, Bradford Council and PwC, GVA will host the session to promote the city’s investment opportunities to London based investors.
GVA will welcome Roger Marsh, Chair of Leeds City Region LEP Board, as the keynote speaker who will provide an update of the new city region investment fund which is engineered to help support new development and investment.
Key issues to be addressed at the event will include;
- What is the forecast for business growth from the key sectors and how might this affect demand for space and take-up across the region
- What are the strategic development sites which are being worked up by the local authorities and what is the timetable for release
- What are the partnership funding opportunities and which tools and incentives are on offer to increase investment as well as growth in the region
- How will this help support developers and investors looking for investment opportunities in the Leeds City Region
The event will take place from 11.00am on 8th October at One Wimpole Street, London.
