The GVA Acuity Service Desk operation is located in Keele, Staffordshire. This vital Facilities Management function enables us to centrally administer, control and report on reactive call handling, planned maintenance activities, management actions and other administrative tasks, whilst also ensuring prudent financial control over the supply chain and facilities related spend.
The Service Desk utilises the FM Facts computer aided facilities management (CAFM) system; an integrated operational and financial solution. FM Facts is a modular system developed by Causeway Technologies, one of the largest providers of building management and facilities related software in the UK. The modular architecture of this software has been further enhanced by GVA Acuity adding web based performance reporting to ensure it is ‘fit for purpose’ and fully supports our FM operational requirements.
The investment in technology by GVA Acuity in this area ensures we have the infrastructure and bandwidth to support our entire FM client portfolio, without duplicating basic administrative activities or management controls on a site by site basis. Put simply, repetitive processing is carried out by the centralised service team, leaving the FM operational team to focus on service quality and driving optimum commercial value.
