Cost consultancy

Giving you the full picture on property costs

Whether a new build, refurbishment or redevelopment it is vital to identify and manage costs-related risks thoughout your project.

Costs are often a key influencer on whether a project’s objectives can be met and a barometer for success in both capital and future revenue terms.

Our chartered quantity and building surveyors provide cost consultancy services across the full life cycle of a property or asset. The team works closely with our mechanical and electrical engineers together with our project managers, ensuring rounded and up-to-date knowledge of the markets in which we operate.

Around the UK, we work with clients and their design teams from inception through development, delivery and maintenance of the asset. We provide feasibility, viability, budgeting and cash flow advice across all stages of your projects.

Construction insolvency

Providing specialist strategy and cost advice to banks, accountants, insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders, we help with distressed developments and insolvencies within the construction supply chain.

Considering all the options we identify and quantify the risks, advise on the most appropriate strategy including build outs, phased completions, mothballing and disposals. We then provide hands on support throughout implementing and monitoring of the agreed strategy.

Project or development monitoring

We act as independent monitoring surveyors for a wide range of banks, lenders and other funding organisations. Whatever the size or complexity of the project, our aim is the same – to ensure lenders understand development issues and that these are managed to protect security and realise the best outcome.

Reinstatement cost assessments (RCAs)

RCAs are vital to ensure adequate insurance cover is in place to protect you against the risk unforseen or unplanned events pose.

Working with both landlords and tenants across all building types and sectors we provide RCAs for single properties through to large, national portfolios.

Quantity surveying

To ensure budgets are not exceeded and capital is used in the most efficient manner to provide value for money, understanding, identifying and mitigating cost-associated risks is vital. From initial strategy advice, pre and post contract services through to the agreement of final accounts we provide full support throughout your project.
