GVA has appointed Patrick Duffy and Hannah Fiszpan as Directors, to lead a new dedicated environmental planning service offer. Hannah and Patrick both join GVA from Waterman Infrastructure & Environment Ltd (part of the Waterman Group).
In their roles at GVA, Hannah and Patrick will be responsible for environmental impact assessment, advising on environmental constraints and opportunities planning at the site feasibility and master-planning stages of a project, as well as providing high-level strategic environmental planning advice for complex situations and at all stages of the development life-cycle. Both will work closely with GVA HOW Planning’s existing EIA offer to ensure a strong national platform.
Together, Patrick and Hannah have over 40 years of environmental planning expertise within the commercial market, with particular experience in Greenfield sites, large-scale urban regeneration schemes, strategic sites and urban extensions.
Mark Gibney, Senior Director in Planning Consultancy, said: “Environmental considerations and in particular, impact assessment, are a core part of a holistic planning, development and regeneration offer. This first dedicated environmental planning team will be complementary to GVA’s existing expertise in this area, including flood risk, land contamination and Sunlight and Daylight, and will strengthen GVA’s ability to manage the environmental planning risks of projects.
“Hannah and Patrick both join us with impressive track records in successfully navigating complex sites and issues. We look forward to benefitting from their expertise.”
