GVA has been appointed to manage a major mixed-use development in Birmingham, which will include a 27-storey office and residential tower.
The company’s Property Management Consultancy (PMC) team has been appointed to deliver a full suite of property management, facilities management, and destination marketing services for the Beorma Quarter project.
Situated in Digbeth to the south of the city centre, the site occupies a plot of land fronting Digbeth High Street and opposite St Martin’s Church and Bullring shopping centre. The site has planning consent in place for the delivery of a mixed-use scheme incorporating office, hotel and residential uses totalling 640,450 sq ft.
The first phase of the project has including the delivery of a new 110-bed Adagio apart-hotel and the conversion of the historic Digbeth Cold Storage building into offices, has completed with the Prince’s Trust confirmed as the first tenants.
Due to commence shortly, the second phase will include a 27-storey office and residential tower block which will deliver circa 125 units.
As part of its remit, GVA will undertake the management of the buildings completed in the first phase and provide consultancy advice on future phases and public realm.
This will include advice on service charge strategy, as well as management of procurement processes and contracts for essential facilities management services, such as cleaning, maintenance and landscaping.

The project is being delivered by Kuwaiti company, Salhia International Investments Ltd.

The Beorma Quarter is a part of Birmingham’s Big City Plan, a 20-year vision for development of Birmingham and the expansion of the city core.
