Ashington Town Centre

GVA is appointed as Project Manager by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, to lead a consortium of local north east consultants to bring forward the development proposals for Ashington. The Ashington Investment Plan is one of the biggest regeneration development opportunities in Northumberland. Arch is leading the delivery of a ten-year programme that will invest around £74m and bring over 1,000 high-quality jobs to the heart of Ashington and transform the town centre’s physical environment. The proposals to redevelop the “North East Quarter” of the town centre, will create a more prosperous Ashington, through economic regeneration and the attraction of wider public and private sector investment. Other services include planning consultancy, development advice and agency.

Follingsby Park, Gateshead

GVA provided agency and disposal advice for the largest single ownership and distribution site in the North East, with an overall value of £40 million. We assisted in securing infrastructure grant funding and gap funding for numerous phases, as well as marketing advice and disposal advice throughout the development process.

Gateway West, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne

GVA provided letting and investment advice to CBRE Global Investors on their long leasehold interest at Gateway West, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne between 2010 and 2014. The estate comprises a prime mix industrial and office development completed in 2009 totalling 233,000 sq ft. Following practical completion of the development GVA’s Agency team let vacant space to a variety of office and industrial tenants. GVA’s Investment team advised on the best approach to dispose of the scheme and following a full marketing campaign, sold the property by private treaty for £12.725M in October 2014 exceeding the latest valuation by more than £1.5M.

Hemlington Grange

GVA advised on a substantial urban extension in Southern Middlesbrough with an overall development value of £30m, providing services including planning assistance, development/delivery strategy advice, soft market testing and detailed market knowledge, financial modelling, building consultancy advice, development agreement advice and delivery of a competitive dialogue process.

Northshore, Stockton on Tees

GVA are appointed to provide strategic agency and development advice to Muse Developments on Northshore, the flagship regeneration scheme in Stockton-on-Tees. The development team have delivered a new 43,000 sq ft Grade A office facility for Thirteen Group at Northshore. The development team were able to design the building to the specific requirements of Thirteen Group which will accommodate in the region of 300 employees within a contemporary and environmentally-friendly headquarters facility. In addition to the provision of agency advice GVA have also provided advice to Muse Developments on the creation of a new management company to manage the landscaped and common areas of the new business park.

Wynyard Business Park

Chemical giant Huntsman Tioxide required a new operating facility; GVA carried out a review of the North East office and industrial markets, providing services including strategic acquisition, rating advice, building consultancy and commercial agency and investment advice.
