Bilfinger GVA appointed for sale of significant Doncaster development site

Leading commercial property consultancy, Bilfinger GVA, has been appointed to bring to market a substantial development opportunity in Doncaster.
The 8.5 acre cleared site is owned by the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. Adjacent to St Catherine’s Hospital, the site is located in the popular Doncaster suburb of Balby. Just 2.5 miles from Doncaster town centre, the site is close to major transport links, including the A1 and M18. The land is in a prime area, which has seen a period of significant regeneration and on-going development in the form of new retail, leisure and business premises.
Initial design feasibility indicates that the site has capacity for up to 100 dwellings and early conversations have indicated broad planning officer level support for the development of a comprehensive housing scheme.
