Bilfinger GVA announces three new Regional Senior Director appointments in Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow. Each started in their respective new roles this week.

As heads of each office and region, Ben Hall takes over in Leeds; Roger Speirs in Newcastle, and; Alasdair Ramsay in Glasgow.

Their remits are to lead, strengthen and grow their respective offices in line with the company’s national and regional business strategy.

Rob Bould, Chief Executive of Bilfinger GVA, comments: “We’re delighted to announce these latest key senior appointments. We have a strong critical mass in each of these locations, but with these key appointments, not only are we shepherding in a new generation of exceptional talent, but we can now look to further grow our capabilities above and beyond what we already offer our clients both nationally and locally."

Ben Hall, formerly Director of investment in Leeds, takes over the 65-strong Yorkshire office. He inherits a team in rude health. Under the stewardship of his predecessor Paul Manning, the office has nearly doubled in size in less than five years, and has consistently grown its fee income year on year in what have been the most testing market conditions on record. Hall will maintain his role as head of investment in the region. Manning steps aside to focus his efforts on advising clients in his own specialist field of Business Rates.

Roger Speirs is appointed as Regional Senior Director of Bilfinger GVA’s 45-strong Newcastle office. As Director of Valuation Consultancy he will maintain his existing role. Newcastle has also seen robust growth of both its people and capital base.

Having steered Newcastle through a deep recession and come out stronger than ever, Mike Cutherbertson hands over to Speirs to continue the work of guiding the team and further developing its scope of services. Cuthbertson will continue to focus on advising public and private sector clients primarily within the Land and Development sector.

Finally, Alasdair Ramsay officially takes over from Eric Forgie as Regional Senior Director of the company’s 60-strong Glasgow office. Ramsay joined Bilfinger GVA in September from Deloitte Real Estate. The prominent investment agent will look to bolster and strengthen the office further as he and Keith Aitken, the head of Bilfinger GVA’s Scotland business, look to build on the exceptional growth the company has achieved over the past two years following the acquisition of James Barr in 2013.
