Leading commercial property consultant, Bilfinger GVA, advised Cew Capital LLP on the recent acquisition of one of the North of England’s most iconic waterfront offices, The Port of Liverpool Building.

Designed by architects Sir Arnold Thornely and FB Hobbs and constructed by the Manchester building firm, William Brown & Son in 1907, the Port of Liverpool Building is the centrepiece of Liverpool’s UNESCO world heritage waterfront.

The Port of Liverpool Building has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment and fit-out, making it Grade A equivalent standard. Occupiers include the investment manager Rathbones, one of the city’s oldest professional firms.

Nick Roberts, Director in Bilfinger GVA’s Investment team said: "We are delighted to have advised our client on the acquisition of this iconic building. The on-going renaissance of Liverpool and recent refurbishment of the building meant that this trophy asset attracted significant interest from across the UK and overseas."

Cushman and Wakefield acted for the vendor.
