One of Bristol’s most innovative office conversions of the last few years, Verve’s Brewhouse, has secured a third tenant, meaning that the building is now fully let. SLR Consulting Ltd has taken space totalling 7,162 sq ft at the city centre Brewhouse, which has led the way in Shoreditch-style conversions in Bristol.
SLR Consulting, global environmental consultants, are relocating from their current Pembroke Road offices to the third and fourth floors of the Brewhouse in Jacob Street.
Alex Riddell, Associate at leading property adviser GVA in Bristol, who secured the deal on behalf of Verve Properties, together with joint agents Alder King, says, “The Brewhouse has introduced dynamic, loft-style office conversions to the city, aimed at the technology, media and technology sectors; the individuality and quality of the refurbishment has been proven with full occupancy.”
The open plan design retains the distinctive character of the original brewery architecture, including features such as semi-circular arched windows and rock-faced elevations. Bold steel lintels and suspended pendant lighting adds to the industrial character of the fit-out.
Alex continues, “The success of The Brewhouse has demonstrated the importance that occupiers place on their workplace to retain and attract new talent.”
SLR Consulting, represented by their in-house property team have taken a 10 year lease at £21.00 psf.
Marketing agency, The Zone, was the first occupier to move into The Brewhouse, with technology company Gresham space on the 2nd floor.
The Brewhouse was originally built for W Rogers Brewery in 1865 and now comprises 25,000 sq ft of office accommodation over ground and four upper floors.
