Leading real estate adviser Bilfinger GVA and international design practice, Ryder- Architecture joined together for the third year to sponsor Oktoberfest on October 20th at the “Palace of Arts” building, now home to Wylam Brewery, at Exhibition Park, Newcastle.
The charity evening was attended by over 550 clients, professionals and members of the North East business community with all proceeds being split between two charities, Bright Red and Alzheimer’s Society.
Guests enjoyed a relaxing evening sampling appropriate Oktoberfest food and drink whilst being entertained by local band, Groove Train.
Just under £10,000 was raised on the evening which was shared equally between the two nominated charities of Bilfinger GVA and Ryder. Thanks also go to Wylam Brewery who kindly provided the fantastic venue.
Tom Baker, Associate at Bilfinger GVA commented: “It was a fantastic evening in a superb venue, which attracted an amazing number of guests. Most importantly their generosity raised just short of £10,000 for these two most worthy charities.”
Richard Wise partner at Ryder added: “We’re very proud to support the evening again, the volume of people and money raised is testament to the North East property and development community. We are delighted with the success of the event and we look forward to hopefully building on this again next year.”
