Overall take-up for Q3 was 64% above average. This included the largest ever deal across the Big Nine - 470,000 sq ft at Buchanan Wharf in Glasgow and record activity across the out-of-town markets.

 

This brings the total for the first three quarters of the year to over 8 million sq ft, well positioned to break last year’s record of 10 million sq ft for both the city centre and out-of-town markets.

With this amount of activity concerns over the lack of prime stock persist. Net effective headline rents continue to rise - by 4.3% over the year to September.
